To facilitate better access to cancer data by boosting cancer registration in sub-Saharan Africa, the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) Global Initiative for Cancer Registry Development (GICR) and partners, such as the African Cancer Registry Network, have introduced three new collaborating centres in sub-Saharan Africa, with support from the Bloomberg Philanthropies Data for Health Initiative.

These three centres are the Training centre in Kenya, Research centre in South Africa and the Collaborating centre for Francophone countries in Cote d'Ivoire
